Does your character have any close ties to existing canon characters? (Canon OCs and AUs only.)
N/A
Why do you think your character would work in this setting?
Hermione has just lived through a wizarding war and has not come out of it unscathed. Although she misses her family and friends, she needs a break from her homeworld. Hermione adapts to any situation she faces so as long as she feels productive she will stay in New Dodge.
How do you plan to expand their CR?
Hermione is a friendly girl, who will do almost anything for the people she cares about. She shows empathy and concern for almost all people, so making friends will not be a problem.
What will your character do for work?
If she were home, she would return to school to finish. I don't know if a magic school is possible here, but she will find something that she can use her abilities and her love of books.
Inventory:
her bottomless bag, her collection of books, her wand, a framed photo of Harry, Ron and herself.

Third-Person Sample:
There was something that everyone who knew Hermione knew. She loves books. It wasn't just a casual passing love, it was a love that had started out as a seed at birth, and slowly blossomed into a beautiful flower. Hermione was never without a book on her. She loved to read all kinds of things, in all kinds of languages. If she didn't know the language of a book that she was interested in, she simply learned it.
Some called her a know it all, but that was mainly when she was younger. Over the years she had grown and matured, not feeling the need to prove herself so very much. It was really quite a relief to be completely honest. There were days when she missed Ron and Harry, but most days she was happy and content with her life.
Put her in a room full of books, and she’s in love, and not just a room, but a whole library. No matter what she had been through in her life, there was nothing more important to her than books. That’s why she is exhibiting, an almost reverence as she picked up the book, with her gloved hand, wiping the cloth along it ever so softly.
She had been through so much in the last few years, and this, what Snape would consider the mundane task, was actually quite soothing to her. She reveled in it, taking care of each book. She knew how to do this. She didn’t have to think about all the people that she might be letting down by being here.
She was given a choice though, and it was one that she made without hesitation because no matter how unusual the circumstances, how could she not offer to help save the books in the biggest library she had ever seen. If she would have left, she knew with all of her being that she would be making a mistake.
First-Person Sample:
[Hermione appears on the screen, looking very beat up, a long thin scar is visible across her neck, and she is soaking wet, looking very frustrated and displeased with the whole situation.]
Is this some sort of joke? Some sort of spell to separate us? [She raises her chin, daring anyone to tell her any different. Her face is a cross between righteous anger, and abject fear.]
This can't be happening. I did not give everything up, just to have it all end now. Would someone please for the love of Merlin explain to me where in the bloody hell I am?
[She starts pacing a little. It always helps her think. she stops, facing the camera, smiling sweetly.
My apologies. That was awfully rude of me to speak in such a manner. You see, this is not where I'm supposed to be. The battle for Hogwarts? We had just won and Harry and Ron were safe. The war was over, and I was supposed to finish my education, not end up.... here. [she gestures around her ]
Where ever here is mind you. I'm sure it's a lovely place... it's just not what I had planned. I"m sure there has got to be a way to figure out how to get out of here..... right?
